My Approach
Uncomplicated
Life is already complicated enough so I believe it’s important to present information, new ideas, and action steps in the most straightforward, positive, uncomplicated manner possible.
Non-judgmental
Judgment keeps us stuck; we all have stories, events, and experiences from our past that have gotten us to the place we are today and labeling any of them as good or bad is counterproductive. By contrast, starting from a place of acceptance for what is true in the moment is a very effective strategy for moving forward and seeing results.
Supportive
It is a huge relief when you realize you don’t need to struggle through a major transition all on your own. Every one of my clients receives unconditional support and understanding which means they can release the burden of having to figure it all out on their own.
Knowledgeable
I have the skills to go deep with clients and empower them to eliminate their self-defeating beliefs and behaviors, work through resistance, create lasting change and achieve amazing results. I am a voracious student and will never stop building on my training or investing in my own personal growth because I know that the further I go, the further I can take my clients.
Accountability
Most of us know what we could be doing to reach our goals but we don’t always do it. Having someone on your team who will get you back on track when you hit an impasse or feel stuck is invaluable, and I have found it to be a powerful component to my client’s success.

Professional Background & Certifications
After receiving my BA from Hampshire College in 1985 I started my first business at the age of 22, a brick and mortar catering and gourmet-to-go shop. The good part about starting a business at such a young age is that you are fearless! I also had a naive assumption that everything would work out, which, in many ways served me well as I went through a crash course in business financing, commercial kitchen design, equipment acquisition, menu development, and employee management.
While I don’t necessarily recommend this approach, in the end I learned a tremendous amount which I have carried forward and continued to build on as I worked in food and fitness management. When I look back on my career, my love of entrepreneurship and independent work style were evident in the autonomous positions I created for myself within the companies I worked for.

These combined experiences along with my love of food and wellness inspired my decision to become a health coach and in 2011, I became certified as a holistic health practitioner from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
I quickly realized that information is only one piece to helping people reach their goals and so in 2012 I completed my certification for the Transformational Coaching Method (TCM). I was so impressed with the difference this made for my clients that I went back and received my TCM Mastery certification in 2014.
I am extraordinarily grateful to be able to combine an extensive understanding of mental wellness, holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health with the skills Transformational Coaching to empower entrepreneurs, creative leaders, and people who want to be their best to make the changes they want to make without having to struggle to do it.
